The Reset Community is pleased to share that “Black” Veteran Affairs (Name change to be announced) received news from CAF(Canadian Armed Forces) the following:
The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) is issuing a formal Apology for Racial Discrimination and Racial Harassment. This solemn occasion is intended to proactively acknowledge the harm caused by systemic racism, racial discrimination, and racial harassment within the CAF. The formal apology will be delivered by Chief of Defence Staff General Jennie Carignan and CAF Chief Warrant Officer Bob McCann, on behalf of the CAF.

Black Veteran Affairs was present at the CAF consultation earlier this year. It is our goal that we can continue to build on past this apology something permanent, trusting and honest.
