PRESS RELEASE 10-14-2024

(Toronto, ON, VL Press 10.14.2024) Canada’s recent expelling of Indian officials should have Canadians on guard for their safety.
The RCMP today issued an important statement “The safety and security of our citizens, regardless of their background or beliefs, remains a top priority for the RCMP and we will not tolerate any form of intimidation, harassment, or harmful targeting of communities or individuals in Canada.
Recently, and possibly for several years, marginalized communities have faced hate crimes, terrorist attacks, intimidation, and harassment from those with connections to organized crimes and agents whether foreign or national.
A recent meeting last week included discussing with the Canadian Government, the possible involvement and link to Indian Government with agents as operatives in Canada employing hate crimes against individuals and or groups in Canada.
The Reset Community calls on the Canadian government, the Indian Government and the media to place an emphasis to alert underserved communities of these attacks affecting marginalized communities as a matter of National Security concerns.
The RCMP statement adds “Evidence also shows that a wide variety of entities in Canada and abroad have been used by agents of the Government of India to collect information. Some of these individuals and businesses were coerced and threatened into working for the Government of India. The information collected for the Government of India is then used to target members of the South Asian community.”
The Reset Community, through extensive reports and research with analysis believe these threats also target and affect the Melanin aka Black, Indigenous, Caribbean and African communities public health and safety.
“Councillor Anthony Perruzza was called on months ago to help sponsor our group’s emergency info session to address these matters over 5 months ago prior to the recent outbreak of gun violence,” says K. Ann Thomas, founder of The Reset Community who recently spoke at an emergency press conference to address gun violence in Toronto.
The group is calling for an immediate meeting with elected politicians and stakeholders to address the matter of public safety for communities.
